David Tennant ya da David John McDonald, (18 Nisan 1971, İskoçya), İskoç oyuncu. TV dizilerinde Doctor Who{{'}}daki Onuncu Doktor rolü ve Casanova{{'}}daki Casanova rolü ile tanınır. Broadchurch{{'}}te Alec Hardy'i canlandırmıştır. Amazon Prime'ın orijinal dizisi olan Good Omens{{'}}de başrolü Michael Sheen ile paylaşmaktadır.
BBC yapımı İngiliz bilimkurgu dizisi Doctor Who'ya, 1. sezonun sonunda katılmış ve 3 sezon boyunca doktoru canlandırmıştır. Dizinin "The Day of the Doctor" başlıklı 50. yıl özel bölümünde tekrar Onuncu Doktor'u canlandırmıştır.
Harry Potter ve Ateş Kadehi filminde Barty Crouch Jr. karakterini canlandırmıştır. Barty Crouch Junior, Bartemius Crouch'un oğludur ve bir ölüm yiyendir.
Tennant, Doctor Who{{'}}ya 4. sezonda konuk olan ve Doktor'un kızını canlandıran oyuncu Georgia Moffett ile Ocak 2011'de nişanlandı. İki ay sonra, Mart 2011'de çiftin kızları dünyaya geldi. Moffett ve Tennant 30 Aralık 2011 tarihinde evlendiler ve Tennant, Moffett'in oğlunu nüfusuna geçirdi. Moffett ile Olive adlı bir kızı ve Wilfred adında bir oğlu vardır.
